Our one night in Vegas

On April 6th we drove from Ridgecrest back to Vegas and stayed one night at The Luxor. It was a fun night! We walked around, visited the M & M store, played video games...we had too because as we walked through the hotel Easton wanted to touch the games and we kept saying, "No honey, those games are for Mommy's & Daddy's" so he kept asking, "Where are MY games?!?" LOL! Then we finished the night off at the Luxor's hotel buffet...YUM!!

Our trip to CA...

Ok, so we were there over a month ago...with Facebook now, it is hard to remember to update my blog too!

On April 1st we headed to Ridgecrest CA to see Dawnell (Tory's cousin) get married! If it were not for Tory's Dad this trip would not have happened. "THANKS DAD!" It turned into a Flores family reunion...we had such a wonderful time! We were in CA for 6 days and stayed in Vegas the night before we flew back home. We were exhausted by the time we got back, but had such a great time...I hate being so far away from Tory's family.

Getting ready to take off! (He looks like a pro)

Waiting in Vegas to get the rental car.

Flying a kite at Grampa Ken's

Visiting with Grandma Sharon (Tory's Mom) Thanks for the wonderful dinner Mom! It was so good to see you, and Easton continues to ask for whip cream shots! LOL!

Easton experiencing whip cream shot's from Grandma...that sure was a hit!

Cayden & Easton.

Cole & Cayden...too cute!

Beautiful Dawnell & her new Husband Rodney!

Cute Cousins!

It was so hard to say goodbye! But again, what a blessing to be there in the first place!

Dressing up for church.

Little man was so darn cute this past weekend...Tory was running a softball tournament and it was my Sunday to volunteer at church. One of the MANY things I love about our church is that you can dress casually and no one cares. I typically dress Easton in jeans and a nice shirt, but never really fancy. Come to think of it he doesn't really have many fancy clothes anyway (just like his Mommy & Daddy). SO...he says "Mommy...I pick my clothes..." A few minutes later he comes around the corner with dress cords & a Spiderman t-shirt...LOL! I said the cords are fine but back to your closet for another shirt mister. Sure enough, he picks a nice button down shirt. He was too cute so I had to snap a few photo's!

Long overdue post!

I have become a facebook user and have been updating photo's there, so I have been a huge slacker when it comes to my blog!!

Below are a few pictures of our trip To Mary's Lake Lodge Feb 27th & 28th. My boss did some trades with them and gave myself and 2 other co-workers a 2 night stay. The condo we stayed in was very nice. It had a hot tub that Tory took advantage of...I was too chicken because it was windy and below freezing outside. Instead I used the big jetted bathtub! Worked for me!! Easton got to go bowling for the first time...he loved it! The pictures below are from our hike at Lake Lily...the same place we visited in the fall. It was COLD but beautiful!

This picture was taken in the town of Estes.

Bowling time!

As Easton gets older we get to do so much more with him! He is such a wonderful kid and we have so much fun with him!

Funny stories...

Here is a picture of me & my girls card night girlies and ALL of our kiddo's!

A few things have happened in the past couple of weeks that I REALLY need to post so I can tease Easton (or he can tease me)about them down the road...

Last winter Tory had an Auto start put on my 4-runner. I LOVE IT and use it all winter long! (I am so spoiled) So, about a week ago I started the car from the house, and as I was about to get Easton in his seat I decided to put the key in the ignition (which I have never done before), I closed my door and finished buckling him in, closed his door and heard the doors lock...hmmmm....what do I do now?!?!
(Well,(Iam thinking) E is 3 now and he can unlock the door)
Me-"Easton...unlock the door"
E-"huh Mommy?"
Me-"Unlock the door"
E-"What?"
Me-(Louder) "UNLOCK THE DOOR"
E-"Huh Mommy?"
Me-(Even Louder) "UNLOCK THE DOOR!!"
Pause...
Me-"Undo your seatbelt..."
E-"What?"
my phones in the car...what am I going to do...getting frustrated and a hint of panic...
E-(rolls down the window) "Wha'd ya say Mommy?"
Me-(unlocking the door)"Nothing Easton...let's go..."
I wanted to laugh and cry all at the same time!!

Last night I go get him from daycare, he is running all around Jan's wet grass just before we go. On our way home I notice he is chewing on something...
Me- "Easton...what are you eating??"
E- "I on't know.."
Me-"Where'd ya get it"
E-"My shoe"
Me-(Disgusted)"WHAT?!?!? There could be bugs or poop on your shoes...GROSS!"
pause....
Me-"What's it taste like??"
E-"chicken..."
LOL!!!!!

Christmas & Christmas Eve 2008

Like I said before, the next few posts will be a bit out of order...better late than never, right?!?

Christmas Eve we were invited to the Howerzyl's...SO FUN! We went to a family church service with them at 3:00 and the kids were all given glow sticks...why not candle's?!?! I guess they want to keep their new church in tact...good thinking!
Then headed to their house for an amazing turkey dinner and a night of gambling, I mean cards! SO FUN! Easton LOVES playing with Nate & Riley! Thanks guys for the invite!

Christmas was quiet around our home but was a ton of fun! Tory & I spoiled Easton but it is worth it (now I have new toys to play with!).

Wearing a bow...not as bad as when I grew up...if anyone in the family got underwear as a gift we had to put it on our head and pose for a picture...crazy family traditions! (I'll try to find a photo!)
