Tattoo's

Easton is totally into stickers and tattoo's right now...it is so funny and great to use for bribery! (Especially since I can't use his pacifier anymore) The other day he came home from daycare with this cute frog on his tummy...thanks Jan! :)

Showing me his froggy tattoo.

I didn't realize that "this" started so young?!?

Friends...

I have been so blessed with the most amazing girlfriends in the world! Unfortunately as we get older everyone seems to go different directions. Thankfully not all have left CO. But a few have, and these past few weeks I was able to spend time with the majority because they (Monika Nordlander & Kim Foxen) were in town visiting which meant we ALL got together!! I even managed a night out with a couple of the girls and went dancing! I have such a different perspective now that I am a Mommy and a wife! Ami Crowe and I had a blast people watching and actually got out on the floor and danced a bit...just like riding a bicycle! One of my other Bestest friends is getting married September 19th... CONGRATS LEAH BUG! A lot has been going on these days, and I have loved every minute of it! Unfortunately I have taken very few pictures...I will post a few of the past few events though! Here Ami's son Julien & Easton are hanging out, they were being so silly! Little man FINALLY likes bubble baths! He used to be scared of bubble baths! LOL! Man I love this kid!

Monika and John left with baby Johnny back to China early this morning...I am SO SAD! I will miss you guys!!! While Monika was here, she passed on a book to me called THE SHACK...if you are looking for a new book to read, you gotta give this a chance. I pretty much read it in 3 days. It is so good! Thanks Roni!!

Easton has discovered play-doh, and he LOVES it! Ha! He woke up this morning and asked me "Mommy...play?" Well, I said "sure, I am going to take a shower, but you can go play!" About 2 minutes later Tory comes in the bathroom and asked me if I told E it was okay to play with his play-doh...I said, "No...we have to leave" well, needless to say I made a mistake, apparently "play" means play-doh. OOPS! So, Easton was a bit bent out of shape for a few minutes, but eventually got over it! The communication gap can be frustrating at times, but for the most part we can figure out what he is saying, plus his vocabulary is growing a ton too! My newest favorite Eastonism is "BUTT BURPS". He coined that phrase all by himself! When I was growing up, the word fart was forbidden...we had to say beamer (I love you Mom, but what the crap is that?!?)...that traumatized me, but I feared my Mom & Dad so I stuck to the rules, now that I am a Mom, I make the rules! So, I decided over much deliberation that fart is not a bad word, and Easton was free to use it, but for some reason instead of saying he farted, he says..."Mommy, my butt burped" It cracks us up every time! I am sure once again, my Mom in Heaven had something to do with this! :)

A short fun video of Julien & Easton...try to ignore me in the background being a Mom!

Have a GREAT week!

Sorry I am all over the place in my post!

Happy Birthday Love, & Welcome Uncle Danny!

Tory's oldest brother Danny was here this past week & weekend...it was so great to see him! He was here to compete in the Deaf worlds softball tournament, hosted this year in CO. I got to watch him on Friday. Unfortunately his team did not advance to Saturday, but it was really fun watching! Easton really loved hanging around his Uncle. It was fun watching the two of them interact. Danny has 2 girls, Vanessa who is 7 (she was our flower girl 5 years ago) and Daniella who is only one week apart from Easton.

Happy 32nd Birthday Love (It was July 30th). I have been such a slacker wife these days...SORRY LOVE! We went out for a Mexican dinner with Danny the night before Tory's birthday to celebrate, and that was about it. Easton & I gave Daddy cards on his birthday, but we FINALLY made him a cake last night! Here are a few pictures of my little helper cleaning up!

One more piece of fun news...Tory was invited by an "A" team to play in MI this coming weekend. This is one step closer to his dream to play professional softball. I am very proud of him! They will cover all expenses, and actually pay him a little bit. Can't beat that!

My Mom used to always tell me "you are so sweet while you are sleeping". I FINALLY get that. LOL!

Blessings to you all!

Our little swimmer!

Easton is absolutely in love with the pool and swimming. Every day on the way home from daycare he says..."pool? pool? pool?" So, Tory or I have been taking him in almost every day. It was Tory's turn last night, so I got to take some photo's and video's. Buying water wings was the best thing I could have ever done! He does so well with them!

Ready...set...JUMP!

I am SO glad he loves to swim! It is so fun, and at times exhausting! :)

*One other HUGE note...we have been "Paci" free for over a week now! His teeth were starting to do some funky things, so after his first Dentist appointment last week, we did it...we finally pulled the plug once and for all. We have had a few HUGE melt downs the past couple of days that left us BOTH crying, but I keep telling myself, "this too shall pass". Yet another sign of his continual passage from baby to little boy. Does it ever get easier on the heart?

Yeah, don't answer that question.

Meeting Johnny-O

Monika, John & Baby Johnny arrived from Hawaii on Thursday AM, and we went to visit on Friday night! I FINALLY got to squeeze those delicious legs! Isn't he the cutest thing ever!?! Monika & John have been living in Hawaii while John goes to school. They will be in CO for a short time then they will be moving back to China.

John was good to entertain Easton outside while I held Johnny inside. Easton tends to be a bit jealous when I hold babies.

I am so glad you guys are here! (Even if it is short lived) You are a BEAUTIFUL family!!

Brotherly Love

Last weekend Matthew was with Easton and me all day Saturday and Sunday...we had such a great time! As Easton gets older he is much more fun to play with, but he is also a little pest at times too! It was fun to watch! Matthew is so fabulous with Easton, but Easton was definitely being a typical "little brother" at times too.
Just before church.

Freedom isn't free...

I hope you all had a safe and wonderful Fourth of July. I think I often take for granted my freedom. This is definitely not on purpose, SO...to all of you have served our Country and who are currently serving, I want to THANK YOU. My family is so blessed to have the freedom that you provide! The freedom to sit on a golf course with friends enjoying a spectacular fireworks display! What a great blessing! Also, the Freedom to serve God!

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I am ETERNALLY grateful!

Earlier on the fourth we invited a couple of friends over for a BBQ, thankfully they had already been invited by their neighbors, because not only did we have less burgers than we thought, but we ran out of propane mid-grilling! Ha! We finished cooking inside of course, and that was fine for us, but we sure would have looked like bad hosts! (I am sure they would have gotten a good laugh out of it!)

Later that night we met up with The Crowe's! We got to watch fireworks from a golf course, it was spectacular! Julien & Easton had so much fun running around, Ami, James, Tory and I had a great time catching up, and baby Maxwell chilled the whole time. What a good baby, and so CUTE!

I will be back to post more of the weekend in the next few days!
