I would LOVE to do more photography, and thanks to my Father In Law I have a very nice camera! I will be taking some photo's of one of my bestfriend's, her hubby and her pregnant belly! I am SO EXCITED! So, I have been practicing some and poor Easton is my subject most of the time! The following pictures have not been edited at all. Just fun silly one's.
Love those freckles!!
Trying to get a smile!
There's one!!
Apple time!
Here are a few edited one's.
(I am using a very basic editing program...I can't wait to get into something better!!)

sick kiddo
Poor Easton has been sick with 2 entirely different things 2 weeks in a row and I am pretty sure it is my fault! Just over 2 weeks ago after inviting myself to the Richmond's for dinner I was...well...bragging that Easton had been so healthy and that I was so thankful for God's blessings! You see I don't have any vacation time at work and I was convinced He was taking care of his daughter. Needless to say my little man has had a cold & a stomach virus. Poor punkin...his momma had to go brag and give God credit. What I am realizing is God allowed the sickness AND He took care of my needs. He is pretty cool that way!
For the record I don't really think Easton got sick because of me but I do know God used it to teach me a lesson.
May you be open to Him today. :)

Easton had his first official sleep over on Firday Jan 29th...Kaleigh is his buddy from daycare!
The sleep over was fun for the kids until lights out time, in which Easton did NOT want to sleep with out me. Yes, ahem...I created that monster. After Kaleigh fell off the air matress at @ 4:00 AM both kids ended up with me in my bed. LOL!

I miss you Mom
Today is the 11th anniversary of my Mom passing away and the 13th of her Mom (my Grandma) passing away. I can't believe it has been that long. Sometimes it feels like it was just yesterday. I miss her dearly, especially since Easton came along. She would have just adored him and I am pretty sure he would have felt the same way too! :)
A few months ago Easton and I were laying in bed chatting and he quietly asked me where my Mommy was...I told him she had died and that she was in Heaven. He just reached over hugged me and said "I am sorry Mommy"...that was it. So profound for a then 3 year old.
Mom, I miss you so much and would not be the woman I am today without your example. You were so loving and kind to everyone, friend or stranger. Once someone became your friend, you were a friend for life. You were a nurturer to those who needed it and cracked the whip to help keep us in line. You taught me to respect others, be polite and to be honest. Now that you are gone I know so much more about your life and the sacrifices you made for us. You never let it be about you, and even the 2 years you battled your cancer, you did it without complaining or "why me?" Your strength and self sacrifice have continued to blow my mind. If I could be HALF the woman you were.
I love you and look forward to the day we are reunited...not yet though. I have much unfinished business here on earth.
Until then.
